From San Miguel to
Manassas
It all began with Margarita Cristina de Rodriguez Angulo in San Miguel. Two recipes made by hand, every day. In 2003, Lorena brought that tradition to the United States. Today it has a home in Manassas.

“Donde la tradición no se pierde.”
— Margarita Cristina de Rodriguez Angulo
From San Miguel
to Manassas
It all began in San Miguel with Margarita Cristina de Rodriguez Angulo. Before there was a bakery, there were two recipes that started it all: quesadilla and pastelitos. Made fresh by hand, day after day, using tradition, memory, and ingredients that brought people together.
No recipes were written down. Everything was learned by watching, by helping, by doing.
In 2003, Lorena brought that tradition to the United States, sharing those same flavors with family, friends, and neighbors.
Years later, that same family tradition found its home in Manassas. Same recipes. Same sabor. Same corazón. Just now, shared with a new generation.
Meet the Bakers

Lorena
Founder & Head Baker
Learned to bake by watching her family in San Miguel. Recipes passed down without ever being written down. Brought those flavors to the United States in 2003 and shared them for years before opening the Manassas location. Still in the kitchen before 5am every day.
Felipe
Founder & Operations
Co-founded the bakery with Lorena in 2026. Runs the floor and handles everything that keeps the doors open. Regulars know him by name.
Our Values
Community First
We host neighborhood events, support local schools, and donate fresh bread to food banks every week. This neighborhood showed up for us from day one. We try to show up back.
Real Ingredients
No preservatives, no pre-made mixes. We buy traditional Salvadoran ingredients directly and work with local suppliers where we can. It shows in the taste.
Made by Hand
Everything is handmade. Every concha shaped, every pastelito rolled. No industrial equipment, no shortcuts.
For the Big Days
Birthday cakes, quinceañera pasteles, wedding cookies. We have made them all. Tell us what you need and we will figure it out.
